Last night, we had an evening Faith Forum featuring acclaimed communicator Joe White. Joe presented the Gospel message and explained the significance of the Cross to the Christian faith.

While Joe explains what the Cross signifies in Christianity, a team of VU guys hold the 14-foot structure in place.

  1. I’ve seen Joe do that presentation close to 10 times, but that was the most impactful. He did it differently than I have ever seen it. He builds the cross for everyone to witness so they can see the reason for it and how they are a part of the story of Jesus. This time, Joe reflected a lot more of himself in the story and it was more personal than ever. Thank you VU for bringing him! He’s always a joy to see.

  2. Powerful presentation! The part at the end discussing the bond servant is easily forgotten in our journey, but is a very important part of why we should do the things we do. We are free not to thanks to grace, but out of love for the greatest gift of all, we should choose to SERVE HIM by serving one another every day (“If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all”)!!

  3. This was my first time seeing Joe White present and it was one of the most passionate and impacting sermon I have been to in a long time. I have been searching for a good home church in Columbia and seeking God’s word and Joe White’s message drove home God’s love, sacrifice, and his willingness to always forgive. His message brought tears to my eyes. I swear there was not a dry eye in this sermon as Joe taught us about this journey, how he sees God’s love and shared the stories of others that have been touched. I hope VU brings Joe back in the future and I will definitely be there with my whole family!
