In Genesis 12, God tells Abraham that he will be blessed so that he can in turn be a blessing. At the forefront of this is the notion that Abraham would be the seed of faith from which all future believers in Christ would come from. But there is also a more temporal application of the verse, that while lesser, is equally true. And it is this: all of us is blessed in some way or another–through wealth, provision, talent, humor–and we are not supposed to horde our blessing, but use it to bless others.
